QUADRI ADEGBOYEGA

The Omo-Onile Building QADEVA

From growing up around real estate to building a platform designed to make property easier to discover, understand, acquire and execute.

Meet Quadri Adegboyega

Real estate wasn’t something I discovered on the internet.

QUADRI ADEGBOYEGA QADEVA

I grew up around it.

I’m an omo-onile — someone who grew up with firsthand exposure to the realities of land, property ownership and the environment surrounding real estate in Nigeria.

That early exposure gave me an appreciation for property long before I ever thought about building a business around it.

But being familiar with real estate and actually understanding how to operate in it are two very different things.

Over the years, I went from simply growing up around property to actually participating in the business of real estate.

From Engineering to Entrepreneurship

I studied Electronic and Computer Engineering at Lagos State University.

Engineering shaped an important part of how I think: understand the problem, break it down, find a practical solution and make it work.

That problem-solving mindset has followed me into business.

My entrepreneurial journey has taken me through different businesses and experiences, including blogging, freelancing, technology-related work, property and short-let operations.

I’ve always been interested in figuring things out and turning opportunities into something tangible.

My interest in technology also continued beyond my engineering background. I have undertaken cybersecurity training, which further developed my interest in systems, technology, risk and problem-solving.

But eventually, real estate became one of the areas where my experience, interests and entrepreneurial instincts began to converge.

My Real Estate Journey

My experience in real estate became much more serious when I started operating short-let apartments in Lagos.

What began as an opportunity gradually became a real business.

Over the years, I’ve been involved in acquiring, setting up, renovating and operating properties, including serviced apartments.

I’ve dealt with the practical realities that come with property in Lagos:

  1. Power.
  2. Renovation.
  3. Furnishing.
  4. Documentation.
  5. Contractors.
  6. Property management.
  7. Customer experience.
  8. Guest complaints.
  9. Unexpected costs.

And the countless decisions that have to be made when you’re responsible for a real property and real money.

I’ve also been involved in numerous property transactions.

Some worked extremely well.

Some didn’t.

Some properties looked attractive until you started asking the right questions.

Some opportunities required patience.

And some of my most valuable lessons came from mistakes.

That’s the part of real estate you don’t always see online.

The work behind the transaction.

Why I Started QADEVA

The more experience I gained, the more I realised that many people don’t necessarily need someone to simply show them a property.

They need help understanding the opportunity.

  1. They need to know:
  2. What exactly am I buying?
  3. Is this actually a good opportunity?
  4. What do the documents mean?
  5. What is the property really worth?
  6. What can I do with it?
  7. Who can help me execute the next step?
  8. And what happens after I buy it?

Those questions eventually led to QADEVA.

I wanted to build a company that could make real estate easier to discover, understand, acquire and execute.

What QADEVA Is Building

QADEVA is being built as a real-estate opportunity and execution company.

We identify selected opportunities, help people understand and inspect properties, coordinate development-related processes and connect property owners with trusted professionals and service providers.

But that’s only the beginning.

My long-term vision for QADEVA is much bigger.

I want to build a platform where someone can discover a property, understand what they’re looking at, access the right information and professionals, make a decision and eventually transact through a trusted ecosystem.

In simple terms:

Real Estate. From Opportunity to Execution.

We’re not there yet.

And I’m not pretending we are.

We’re building it one layer at a time.

First, we earn trust.

Then we build systems.

Then we build infrastructure.

And eventually, QADEVA should be able to do things that currently require a lot of fragmented people, platforms and processes.

Why I Share What I Know

A lot of what you find on this blog will come from things I’ve actually experienced.

A property transaction.

A mistake.

A serviced apartment setup.

A lesson from a deal.

A problem I encountered.

A solution that worked.

Something I wish I knew earlier.

Or simply an observation about the Nigerian real-estate market.

I don’t believe you have to know everything before you can share what you know.

Experience is knowledge.

If something took me years, money or mistakes to learn, and sharing it can help someone else make a better decision, I believe it is worth sharing.

That’s why you’ll see me talking about real estate publicly.

Not because I have figured everything out.

But because I’ve done enough to have something useful to contribute.

Beyond the Property

One of the things I want people to understand about me is that I’m not interested in being defined by one job title.

I’m an engineer by education.

An entrepreneur by experience.

A problem solver by nature.

A real-estate operator by practice.

And now, a founder building a company around the things I’ve learnt along the way.

QADEVA brings many of those experiences together.

And I want the company to eventually become bigger than my personal involvement in it.

That matters to me.

Because the goal isn’t to build “Quadri’s real-estate business.”

The goal is to build QADEVA.

This Is Only The Beginning

I’m still learning.

QADEVA is still growing.

And this blog will document much of that journey.

You’ll find practical real-estate lessons, property stories, opportunities, mistakes, business ideas, development insights and things I learn along the way.

Some will come directly from me.

Some will come from professionals and people working within the QADEVA ecosystem.

But the objective remains the same:

To help you discover real estate before you have millions, understand what you’re getting into and make better decisions when the opportunity comes.

I’m Quadri Adegboyega, founder of QADEVA Limited.

I grew up around real estate.

I learnt from it.

I built businesses around it.

I’ve made mistakes in it.

I’ve found opportunities in it.

And now I’m building something I hope will make the journey easier for many more people.

This is QADEVA.

And we’re just getting started.
